Triangle Park Gardening
Saturday, April 13, 9 a.m.
The HWEN Beautification Committee helps maintain Triangle Park’s lovely landscaping. Located at the intersection of Natchez Trace, Blair and Westmoreland, this little park is the center of our neighborhood and a gathering place for many of our events.
To get ready for the Dragon Parade, we’ll be weeding and making this green space look beautiful. If you can help, come to the Triangle Park on Saturday, April 13, at 9 a.m. Bring small garden tools if you have them and your gardening gloves. Stay as little or as long as you like!
Irish Park Annual HWEN Plant Swap
Saturday, May 4, 1:30 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Bring some plants to swap, and walk away with plants you want. Flowers, bushes, trees, ground cover…if they grew well in someone else’s yard, they’ll more than likely do well in yours.
Bring what you’d like to give away in grocery bags, cardboard boxes, etc. Just label each one with the name of the plant and “sun” or “shade.” Shopping is free, but the plant wisdom you’ll hear is priceless, and it’s fun. Invite your neighbors and friends. Come enjoy meeting and talking with fellow gardeners and adding some more beauty to your garden.
